He was born January 1, 1938 in Washburn, Missouri, the son of Claude Lee and Grace Ruth Victoria (Wade) Privett. On May 19, 1960 in Ridgley, Missouri he was united in marriage to Doris Jane Lemon, who preceded him in death on August 20, 2015. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Donald and Dale Privett and a son-in-law, Lonnie Fidler.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana Privett and Jeff Linder of Noel, Missouri, Victoria Fidler of Aurora, Missouri and Sarah Torres and Richard McVey of Reeds Spring, Missouri; one brother, Russell Privett of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Lenore Haynes of Kansas City; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Charles received his education at Wheaton, Missouri. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy. For several years he was employed at Carthage Marble as a jackhammer operator.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
