Mary Thorsdale, 103 of Neosho, died June 16, 2016 at her home, following a short illness.
Mary was born Feb. 27, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jame and Marie (Slobe) La Greca. Mary lived in St. Petersburg, Florida where she was active in the ‘Meals on Wheels’ program for ten years; sang in the Sweet Adelines; visited shut-ins and attended numerous Bible studies. She moved to Neosho in 2008 from St. Petersburg and was active in the Neosho Senior Citizens Center.
Mary married Henry Thorsdale, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Hewitt of Neosho; three grandsons, Steven Peters of San Jose, CA; David Peters and Christy of Independence, KS and Glenn Peters and wife, Angela of Neosho; seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
