Elmer Walter Elhard, Jr. of Anderson, MO died on June 22, 2016, at the age of 70 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, MO after a hard fought battle with cancer for 6 months.
Elmer was born July 18, 1945, in Helena, Montana, the son of Elmer and Margaret (Miller) Elhard. He was a lifelong resident of the Neosho and Anderson area. He worked for Robbins Dodge & Chrysler in Neosho for 25 years and then for 32 years with his wife at Howard's Brake and Front End Service in Anderson, MO. Elmer loved to refurbish clocks and restore old cars.
Elmer married Diane Howard on June 21, 1985, in McDonald County and she survives. Also surviving are four children, Connie Sue Quinton and husband, Rob, Jay, OK; Shannon Dodson and husband, Cody, Neosho, MO; Katherine Orlando and fiancé, Darin White, Henderson, CO; and Amy Hoctor and husband, Steve, Neosho, MO; four grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Elhard, Neosho, MO. Elmer is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jean Russell.
