Michael D. Hoover, 61, Neosho, died June 24, 2016 in Columbia, Missouri following an extended illness.
He was born March 28, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Ernest (Doc) and Ila Jean (Daugherty) Hoover. Michael lived most of his adult life in Neosho and graduated from Neosho High School in 1974. He served in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator and retired after 17 years of service. He was a member of the DAV and enjoyed fishing and collecting coins.
Michael married Judy (Dodson) Eldridge on July 20, 2010 and she survives. Additional survivors include his mother, Ila Jean Hoover; three children, Dr. Kaitlin Ingram and husband, A.J. of San Diego, CA, Jeff Eldridge and wife, Jennifer of Springfield, MO and Megan Eldridge of Neosho, MO; four grandchildren, Essence, Karly, Makynna and Beckett; one brother, Les Hoover and wife, Sherry of Neosho and one sister, Sonja Harper and husband, Reed of Joplin, MO. Michael is preceded in death by his father.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
