Nida E. Rudd age 89, of Joplin passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at National Health Care in Joplin.
She was born on June 9, 1927 to Charles Hamilton and Nida (Smith) Hamilton in Mobile, Alabama. Nida was a CPA for over 15 years while raising a family, and a member of the South Joplin Christian Church. She always had a love of art and became a full time professional artist after her retirement. Nida was married to Malary C. Rudd and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1984.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Rudd of Joplin, Tim Rudd of Coffeyville, KS; a daughter, Laura Martin of Texas; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Nida has been taken for cremation.
The family will have a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the South Joplin Christian Church, 1901 South Pearl Avenue, Joplin, MO 64804. Burial will take place at a later date in Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the church in her memory.
