Betty Luan James 81 of Mindenmines, Missouri passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Joplin Mercy Hospital.
She was born October 29, 1934 in Barton County, Missouri to James Alexander and Nadine (Stith) Still. She was a homemaker and a farmer. Betty was a former 4-H leader and was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church.
Betty was united in marriage to Ronald James on February 28, 1956. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Will James (Denise) of Mindenmines, MO.. One daughter, Donita James of Nashville, MO.. Three brothers, Jim Still, Richard Still, and Leland Still all of Carthage, MO.. Five sisters, Margaret Manley of Jasper, MO., Bonnie Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa, Maribeth Ward of Carthage, MO., Connie Barkley of Springfield, MO., and Libby Wilson of Carthage, MO.. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Matthew James. a brother Harvey Still, and two sisters, Mermal Wyatt and Nancy Still.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016.
