Claude Edward Wall, age 77, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 3:41 am in Columbus, Kansas. Claude was born January 29, 1939 in Keelville, KS.
He retired in September 2014 after 50 years as a meat cutter. He was the co-owner of C & L Foods, Carthage, MO and also worked in Seneca at G & L Foods for many years. He retired from the Apple Market in Columbus.
He graduated from Baxter High School in 1956. He was a member of Spring River Assembly of God, Riverton, where he was an Elder and a Greeter. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with the family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Karen Auman on July 28, 1957 in Neutral, KS. She survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Darin Wall (wife, Shellly), Riverton; one daughter, Tammy Bullis (husband, Robert) Diamond, MO; 5 grandchildren, Rori Bullis, Dallas, TX, Sheena Wall, Riverton, Robin Little, (husband, Jason), Diamond, Kelsey Moreno (husband, Andrew, Riverton, Nolan Wall (wife, Cassie, Girard, KS; 3 great-grandchildren, Hyley Lucas, Elise Moreno, and Jay Little; one brother, Ray Dean Wall (wife, Lorretta), Pryor, OK, one nephew, Brandon Wall (wife, Darcie).
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wall, mother, Lela (Wene) Hoops, and step-dad, Winifred D Hoops,
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Spring River Assembly of God. Pastor Roger Scantlin will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Columbus.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of the funeral home.
