Barbara Lucietta 69 of Lamar, MO passed away at her home Friday, June 10, 2016 with her husband Don by her side.
She was born January 18, 1947 in Dubuque, Iowa to R. Clarence and Thelma Mead Ihm. In the early 1950’s they moved to Lamar. She was a 1965 graduate of Lamar High School. Barbara and Don were married June 19, 1965 in Lamar and remained in Lamar raising their son Justin. She was a member of First Christian Church in Lamar, MO where she was very involved in many activities and had a willingness to help in anyway she could. She was a past member of the Lamar Saddle Club where she and her horse Smokey Joe participated in barrel racing. Barbara worked many years at Lamar Greenhouse and later at Strong’s Corner Florist doing what she loved, making flower arrangements.
She is survived by her husband Don, of the home, a son Justin of Webb City, MO., a brother Harley Ihm and wife Dana of Pueblo, CO, sister-in-law Charlotte Palmer from Kimberling City, MO, a brother-in-law Jerry Lucietta and wife Joan from Lexington, KY, a nephew, Brandon Ihm; of Pleasant Hope, MO. and nieces; Erin Ihm, Independence, MO, Nico Ihm of Chicago, Il and Josey Ihm Butler from Leesburg, Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother Larry Ihm. Barbara had a zest for life and was known for always having a smile for everyone.
Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Monday, June 13th at First Christian Church in Lamar, MO.
Services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, June 14th at First Christian Church.
Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery
