James Arthur "Jim" Schneickert, 66 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, following a sudden illness.
Jim was born September 1, 1949 in Parsons, Kansas to the late Henry Arthur Schneickert and Katherene Dye Schneickert. He graduated from Parkwood High School in Joplin with the class of 1969. Jim was retired after working many years in sales. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness-West Congregation.
Jim is survived by his wife, Jennifer Henson Schneickert, whom he married on November 28, 1969 in Joplin, Missouri.
Additional survivors include daughters, Julie Anne Fast and husband, Deryl of Springdale, Arkansas and Tracy Fast of Joplin; grandchildren, Carter James Fast, Chloe Elizabeth Fast, Gabriel Alexander Fast and Bowie Xavier Trimmell; sister, Martha Dye-Walker and husband, James of Kansas City, Missouri.
Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and Monty David Schneickert; sister, Dyann Tonkin and a grandchild, Chandler Jacob Fast.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness West Congregation, 1201 S. Schifferdecker, Joplin, MO 64801.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
