Doug Curtis

Thomas Douglas ‘Doug’ Curtis, 68, Neosho, died June 8, 2016 at his home, following a seven month illness. 

 He was born April 30, 1948 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Arretta Beatrice (McGarrah) Curtis. Doug was a lifelong area resident and owned and operated Curtis Empire Pawn in Neosho, which was previously Curtis Fur and Bait, for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, fur trapper and hunter and loved to play pool. He was a musician and had written two books. 

 Doug is survived by friend, companion and confidante for the last 28 years, Sue Kirby; two daughters, April Suzanne Ozcan and husband, Yulet of Seattle, WA and Angela Kay Criau and husband, Chris of Atlanta, GA; brother, Steve Curtis and wife, Gwen of Harrison, AR; four grandchildren and many who considered him grandfather. 
 
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO
