Helen Joyce Stoffer, age 76, of Joplin, Mo, formerly Galmey, Mo., passed away Thursday June 9, 2016 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Ks. She was born on October 21, 1939 in Gatewood, Mo., the daughter of William and Ida “Cotham” Bartley. She was a sales representative for furniture manufacturing at Town Square, was a member of the St Paul United Methodist Church Joplin, MO., where she was a member of Ruby Circle serving as treasurer for 2 years. Joyce married Glenn Stoffer in 1970 he preceded her in death in 1999. She then married Deane Brownfield in 2001 he survives of the home.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters. Additional survivors include two sons: Wes Cummings of Colleyville, Tx. And Rob Cummings of Daegu, South Korea.; a daughter Angeline Fleetwood of Springfield, Mo., and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday June 13, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory, with Chuck Kralik officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
