Pollyanna R. Gruver, age 90 of Racine, Missouri, died June 27, 2016 at her home, following an illness.
Pollyanna was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Bert and Pearl (Harter) Martin. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at American Can Company and Montgomery Wards in Kansas City, MO. She moved to the Racine area in 1974 from Lamar, Missouri and she worked as church secretary at Racine Apostolic Church for many years. She enjoyed working and serving and was a member of the Racine Apostolic Church.
Pollyanna married Albert Franklin Gruver and he preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by a son, Darrell Allen Gruver and wife, Denise of Racine; stepchildren, Loyd Gruver and wife Roza Mary of Jericho Springs, MO; Linda Jacoby of Pleasant Valley, MO; Sharon Perry of Holt, MO; daughter in law, Susan Gruver of Lamar; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann Gruver, stepson, Gerald Gruver and two granddaughters, Charlotte Michelle and Shauna Danielle Gruver.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
