Larry Lesher

Laurence A. “Larry” Lesher, 72, of Carthage passed away at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday June 15, 2016 in Overland Park, Kansas. Larry was born August 18, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA. He was the son of Frank Lesher and Elaine “Peter” Lesher. Larry has lived in Carthage for the past 10 years, moving from Alaska. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired plumber. Larry owned and operated Lesher Plumbing in Santa Barbara, CA. He was a member of The Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix Church and loved to hunt and fish.

Laurence was united in marriage to Huong Thi Thu Dinh on December 10, 2011 in Vietnam. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters; Valerie Lesher and Kelly Lesher both of Santa Barbara, CA, his step-mother Addy Lesher of Neosho, MO, one cousin Mike of Big Lake, Alaska and his best friend Robert Carlton and family of Carthage, MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 25, 2016 at The Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix Church in Carthage. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday June 24, 2016 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to The Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix Church in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences maybe sent at www.ulmerfh.com.
