Bonnie B. Wheeler, age 76, Carl Junction, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.
Bonnie was born October 12, 1939 in Shelby County, Illinois, daughter of the late Delbert Leon Rentfro and Kathleen Miriam Deppert Rentfro. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years in both Austin and Dallas, Texas, and moved to Joplin in 2005 from Texas where she worked for Leggett and Platt for 8 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Wheeler whom she married June 18, 2008; children, Russell McManahan and wife Kym of Austin, Texas, Penny Burnett and husband David of Austin, and Susan Lazo of Fort Wayne, Indiana; seven grandchildren; a brother, D. J. Rentfro
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with private family services at a later date in McCune, Kansas.
