Sammy Neil Jack, Sr., 61 of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sammy entered this life on December 30, 1954 in Coffeyville, Kansas, son of Bobby and Phyllis (Todd) Jack.
Sammy was a 1972 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. He worked several years for International Dehydrated Foods, Wilbert Vault and Juvenile Shoe. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed driving around town as well as collecting salt and pepper shakers.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Sammy is survived by his sons, Sammy Neil Jack, Jr. and wife Mary of Sarcoxie, Missouri, Randy Wayne Jack of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jessie Shiloh Jack, Sr. and wife Cassandra of Neosho, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Ariel Maggard, Skyler Jack, Cleyton Jackson, Sammy Jack, III., Emily Dawn Jack, Carter Jack, Jessie Jack, Jr., Jonathan Jack and Shilah Jack; his parents, Bobby and Phyllis Jack of Sarcoxie, Missouri; his siblings, Bobby Jack, Jr., and wife Sheila, Tommy Jack and wife Verna , Kathleen Feather and husband Curtis, Vicki Schmidt and husband Randy, Cindy Myers and husband Mike and Terry Jack all of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Fairview Baptist Church, Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Jared Raley officiating.
