(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Betty Carlene Probert, of Golden City, MO, departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO at the age of 88.
She was born on July 20, 1933 in Barry County, MO to Carl and Lois (Paugh) Lamberson. Betty graduated from Carthage High School.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Wayne Probert on January 12, 1952 in Carthage, MO.
Betty and her husband owned and operated Betty’s Dairy Dip for many years. She attended the Golden City Presbyterian Church. Betty enjoyed fishing, and adored her dogs. She loved spending time with her grandkids.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Lois Lamberson; her husband, Marvin Probert; and twenty-nine brothers and sisters in law.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Probert and wife Mary, Tom Probert and wife Ima Jean, and Tim “Tiger” Probert and wife Sonnie; seven grandchildren, Kellen Probert and Rebecca Parrill, Kassidy Probert and wife Jenni, Trevor Probert, Broc Probert, Bryce Probert and wife Allison, Bailey Probert Besendorfer, and Amanda Harris; a special granddaughter, Amy; and nine great-grandchildren, Asher James, Blakely Kay, Gatlyn, Jaxon, Aidyn, Layton, Collin, Isabelle, and Thomas James.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021, in the I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to view and pay their respects at their convenience on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the I.O.O.F. First Christian Church Cemetery.
Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
