Brandon Wellbaum

(From Buchanan Funeral Home)

Brandon E. Wellbaum, 48, of Monett, MO, unexpectedly passed away in an auto accident near Goodman, MO, on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

Brandon was born on July 24, 1973 in Springfield, MO, the first child born to Gary and Mary (Grass) Wellbaum.

Brandon graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1991 and had spent all of his working years working with his Grandpa and Dad at Wellbaum Tire and West 60 Salvage. In 2018, he purchased the business from his Dad and changed the name to Autorama.

Brandon had a passion for old cars, always willing to go to a car show or cruise night if he could. If you ever drove by the tire shop, you’d probably see Brandon outside working on someone’s car or talking to someone. He had a character about him and a sense of humor that made you instantly like him. Brandon was always happy and had a laugh that made you smile. Brandon also loved his animals and was handy in the kitchen, as he had a way of throwing things together that tasted really good. The greatest love of his life, his family. Brandon loved his family with all of his heart

Brandon was a member of the Monett Church of the Nazarene and the Masonic Lodge.
On July 27, 2010 at Jolly Mill in Pierce City, Brandon married Nikole West. Though not nearly enough years together, the time that was given was with wonderful and happy memories made.

Those left to cherish the memories of Brandon are his wife, Nikole, of the home; his boys, Tyler Culbertson and girl-friend Kenzee Arndt, Jeremy Worm and wife Crissy and Michael Wellbaum and wife Kristen; two grandsons, Wyatt and Waylon; his dad, Gary Wellbaum; his brothers, Shelby Wellbaum, Dustin West and wife Christy, Matt Bailey and Jake Bailey; his aunt, Debbie Stewart and husband Tom; his niece, Brelynn Wellbaum; his nephews, Gavin Bailey, Drake West, Josh West and Liam West; his mother-in-law, Loretta Bailey and Kerry Honeycutt; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Mary Wellbaum; his grandparents, Bill and Betty Land, Ernest Grass and Arthur “Red” and Ella Wellbaum; and one nephew, Gavin Wellbaum.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Josh Lien, Pastor Chris Carver and Pastor Kendal Arndt officiating. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett.
