(From Parker Mortuary)Joseph S. Hawkins, age 61, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Joplin Health and Rehab in Joplin.
Mr. Hawkins, son of the late Donald Lee and Ruth Ann (Spitzer) Hawkins, was born on June 25, 1960 in Lynwood, CA. He attended High School in Tempe, AZ and soon after worked in the construction field of stucco. Joseph was a car enthusiast, loved the outdoors and had a passion for sketching. He will be missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his brother, Jeff Hawkins, and his wife, Laurie, of Dewey, Arizona; and his sisters Linda Sweat of stark city, mo., Christine Hawkins of Carson City, NV and Patricia Fitzpatrick of Belle center, Ohio; and several other extended family members.
No formal services are planned at this time. The family would like to extend a generous and sincerest appreciation and thank you to the staff at Joplin Health and Rehab for their care and compassion shown during Joseph’s time in their care.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
