Wayne Martin

Homer Wayne Martin, age 82, passed away on October 4, 2021, in Rogers, Arkansas.

Wayne was born on November 17, 1938 in Wyman, Iowa, to Homer Frances Martin and Norma Arlene (Derby) Martin. Wayne was a lifetime resident of the Joplin area.

He married the love of his life, Grace Eleanor Kinney on April 19, 1968. She preceded him in death in 2014. Wayne loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed reading, hunting, and fishing.

Wayne is survived by his brother, Dean Martin and wife, Leona of Berryville, AR, sons: Jeff Banning and wife, Lori of Monett, MO; Roger Martin and wife, Stephnie of Bella Vista, AR; Dan Martin and wife, Michelle of Owosso, MI, daughters: Kathy Martin of Joplin, MO; P. Ann Martin of Newport, OR, adoptive daughter Chelsea Garcia of Joplin, MO, grandchildren: Scott Lawson and wife, Mechelle; Jennifer Griffis and husband, Matt; Mary Butler and husband, Bobby; Alex Guebara and wife, Ali; Brian Martin and wife, Ali, Sarah Strachan and husband, Brent; Tanner Martin and wife, Sarah; Kirsti Banning; Jeremy Banning; Kyle Mahl; Cody Mahl and wife, Brittany; McKenna Mahl; Kelby Martin and wife, Andrea; Shayli Martin; Ryley Martin, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, at Mason-Woodard’s Chapel. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday at Mason-Woodard between 6:00-7:00 pm.
