Lois Evans

Lois Evans of Joplin, Missouri passed away on October 5, 2021 at Spring River Christian Village. She was born on June 29, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and received a Certificate of Christian Education from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas.

On December 28, 1949 she married Don Evans. Besides being a homemaker, she served the Lord with her husband in churches in Kansas and Arkansas in the areas of music, teaching, and office duties. She was the manager of the bookstore at Ozark Christian College for several years. She was involved at College Heights Christian Church in Joplin where she was a member.








Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and three sisters. Survivors are one son; Don Evans, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters, Janie Mowrey and husband, Mike of Rogers Arkansas and Sue Creson and husband Scott of Webb City, Missouri; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one sister; Joan Alley and husband Lowell of Franklin, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be held at Mason Woodard Funeral Home in Joplin Missouri on Thursday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM with a Memorial Graveside Service at Mount Hope Cemetery Pavilion in Webb City, Missouri at 2:00 pm with Justin Coberley and Rick Bushnell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Missouri in care of the Mason Woodard Mortuary.
