Barbara Belcher

Barbara Jean Belcher, age 82, passed away at 2:50 pm, Monday, April 4, 2022 at her home following an illness.

Barbara was born May 21, 1939 in Nevada, MO. Her parents were Harry Whit and Helen Rachel (Baker) Rimmer. She had lived in Oswego since 1975. She had previously lived in Butler, MO.

She and her husband were in the grocery business for several years. She worked at Town and Country in Oswego later at G & W Foods in Columbus, KS. 

She later worked as a cook at USD 504 in Oswego and last worked in the dietary department at Labette Health in Parsons, KS. Her greatest joy was anytime she could be with her family.

Barbara was married to Darrell Belcher on December 23, 1956 in Nevada. He survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Rick Belcher (wife, Robbie) Oronogo, MO and Randy Belcher, Griffin, GA; two daughters, Marsha Conrad, Oswego, and Sherry Brown, Owasso, OK; one sister, Patty Epps, Warrensburg, MO; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Fairall and one great-granddaughter, Cherish Belcher.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2022 at Newton Cemetery, Nevada, MO.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Conrad, Dusty Conrad, Josh Belcher, Ryan Belcher, Buddy Belcher and Brady Belcher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS.
