Harold Anders

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Harold Duane Anders, 83, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

Harold entered this life on Sunday, March 5, 1939, in Pomona, California, born to the late Melvin E. and Orpha (Spears) Anders.

In 1957, he was united in marriage to Juanita Grizzle and to this union one son, Kenneth, was born.

Harold was employed by the PG&E for many years working as a service man. In 1967 he married Patricia Ann Martin and to this union three children were born, Christopher, Russell and Catherine. After returning to the McDonald County area Harold happily served as the “Candy Man” providing supplies to the local county grocery stores and service stations.

Harold loved living in his country home where he enjoyed carpentry projects as well as putting in vegetable gardens, raising rabbits and chickens, and taking in stray dogs and cats and even allowed a bear cub to “hang out” in one of his tall trees. Harold was also a proud member of the National Guard and a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Pineville.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William (Bill) Anders.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of the home; sons, Kenneth Anders (Sonja) and Christopher Anders (Nida), Russell Anders (Angela); and daughter, Catherine Anders; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Anders and Barbara Williams; as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Harold.
