(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Neil R. Francis, age 72, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 11:12 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Joplin. Neil was born July 12, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa. He came to Joplin in 1968 to attend Ozark Christian College.
Following graduation in 1973 he was involved in Ministry, preaching and teaching at numerous Churches and Schools. From 1992 until his retirement in 2015, he owned and operated 4-State Windshield Repair. Neil was a member of College Heights Christian Church of Joplin.
Neil married Elaine Dick on June 5, 1971 in Murray, Iowa and she survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Scott Francis (Nancy), Moorpark, California, and Grant Francis (Kristan), Birmingham, Alabama, one daughter, Angelique Goetz , (Austin), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one brother, Mark Francis (Andrea), Joplin, Missouri, one sister, Kay Ison (Neil), Lenexa, Kansas, and five grandchildren; Isabella, Annalisse, Gabriel, Evangeline, and Phoenix.
The family will hold a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16 th at College Heights Christian Church Chapel with Sy Huffer, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service at the Church. Memorial contributions are requested to College Heights Christian Church, 4311 E. Newman Road, Joplin, Mo. 64801.
