(From Clark Funeral Home)Wanda Gene Gilstrap, age 76, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at her home. She was born January 1, 1945, in Washburn, Missouri to the late Early and Wilma (Salley) Cargile.
On July 13, 1984, Wanda married Robert “Bob” James Gilstrap in Tahoe, California. He survives her of the home. Wanda was a homemaker and a seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, and spending time outside in her yard.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by three children, Rick Laney, and Mark and Brian Hitchcock; three step children, Belinda Michaels, and Rhonda and Robert “Bo” Gilstrap; two brothers, Donald and Lonnie Cargile; one sister, Mary Jane Meyers; eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Her five brothers, Homer, Frank, Ronald, Louis, and Edward Cargile, and two sisters, Lily Hayworth, and Rosie Cargile, preceded her in death.
Arrangements have been conducted by the Clark Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
