Bonnie Sue Macy, 81, Diamond, passed away December 14, 2016 at Oak Pointe Assisted Living in Carthage.
She was born June 29, 1935 in Diamond, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Ada (Cupp) Rickman. Bonnie was a lifelong Diamond resident and had worked as a Bank Teller for the Diamond Bank and then CBT, retiring after many years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Diamond and served in many capacities. She was also a member of Silver Bells, Young at Heart and the Diamond Improvement Group.
Bonnie married Buford Macy on August 2, 1953 and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Harp and husband, Mike of Diamond; daughter-in-law, Cyndy Macy of Diamond; special friend, Melvin Alford of Diamond; six grandchildren, Logan Kelley of Diamond, Matt Harp and wife, Andrea of Springfield, Macy Harp and fiancé, Beau Tommey of Liberty, MO, Jordan Macy and wife, Taylor of Carthage, Micah Harp and wife, Emalee of Springfield and Kyley Patterson and husband, Chris of Diamond and ten great grandchildren, Lucas Kelley, Ainsley Harp, Alexandria Harp, Greyson Macy, Taedyn Macy, Laityn Macy, Kelley Patterson, Eryn Nixon, Addy Patterson and Alley Patterson. In addition to her husband, Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherry Kelley on February 27, 1994 and son, Randy Macy on March 4, 2016.
Services will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Diamond with Rev. Ron Crow and Rev. Mike Wharlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Diamond Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Logan Kelley, Jordan Macy, Matt Harp, Micah Harp, Chris Patterson and Beau Tommey. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the church. Contributions in memory of Bonnie may be made to the Diabetes Association or the First Baptist Church of Diamond Building Fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
