Bud Hensley

Robert ‘Bud’ Dale Hensley, Neosho, was born March 21, 1930 in Nevada, Missouri. He entered into rest on December 22, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, following an illness at the age of 86. 

Bud served in the U.S. Navy and worked as manager of Robinson-Davis Lumber Company from October 1961 until its closing. He had been a horseman since the age of 4 and was a very artistic painter. He was a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church. 

Bud and Martha (Rooney) were married on November 26, 1949 in Nevada and she survives. Additional survivors include three daughters, Roberta Brown; Rhonda Slayden and husband, Maurice and Rebecca Hensley and Beth Frank; special friend, Mary Patton; one sisters, Bonnie Mitts and husband, Fred; six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. 

 Services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with interment to follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Bud may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
