Charlie Howell

Charles Richard Howell passed Wednesday afternoon, December 21, 2016 from congestive heart failure. He was under the care of the Veteran's Hospital, Fayetteville, AR.

The eldest son of Charles Everett Howell and Ladye Madge Beckham Howell, Charlie was born August 12, 1932. He lived all his life in the Carthage area. He had many proud moments during his life - his years of service in the United States Air Force, where he served as a mechanic on jets; years of involvement in the Forest Mill community; his profession as a house painter; and especially his avid outdoorsmanship.

Charlie married Patsy Lou Jones on June 7, 1952. She predeceased him on February 13, 1983.

Charlie is survived by his constant companion of 32 years, Cheryl Willoughby; son Charles Michael Howell and wife Sheri; daughter Marjorie Diann Howell; daughter Brenda Gail Cardwell and husband Brad; daughter Laura Lea Herron and fiancée Terry Gonzales; and daughter Ambyr Frost and husband Travis. He leaves a legacy of love and fun to 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A sister, Kay Musgrove and brother, Phillip Howell also survive.

A come and go time of remembrance will be held at Weng Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The family will be at the home of Brenda Cardwell, 1206 Gene Taylor, Carthage, Mo 64836. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO..
