Shaun Michael Henson, born August 16, 1977 (the day Elvis died), passed from this life on December 27, 2016 due to injuries he sustained in an auto accident.
Shaun was born in Joplin to Doug and Susan Henson, and a few years later they gave him the best gift they could have, his sister Sarah.
At the age of 16 Shaun met the love of his life Megan, who he married, and together they had two sons.
Shaun worked as an auto body technician and painter since college; he was a car enthusiast and has several classic cars that he enjoyed restoring with his boys, including his grandfather's '57 Chevy. He was an avid hunter and taught his sons well. Shaun coached his sons in Webb City pee-wee football, little league and travel baseball, and youth basketball, taking his team to #1 more than once.
When Shaun wasn't coaching, he was on the sidelines cheering the boys on, or in the dugout motivating the team.
Shaun is survived by his wife and best friend Megan, and two sons Shaun Douglas and Truman of Alba, Mo.
His parents Doug and Susan Henson of Redings Mill; his sister Sarah Welch and husband Byron of Oronogo, Mo; his mother-in-law Tricia Braden Alba, Mo.; two sister-in-laws Johnna Stephens and her husband Clem, and Shelby Moore (Jody); five nieces: Sophia, Lacey, Libby, Brooklyn and Briley.
There will be a memorial visitation for Shaun Friday, December 30th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Online condolences can be made at www.simpsonfh.com.
