Ronald E. Eveland, age 69 of Webb City, Missouri passed away at his home, Saturday December 17, 2016 following several months of declining health.
He was born April 19, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa to Kenneth and Ona (Moore) Eveland.
Ronald was a truck driver for Tri State Motor Transit. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge in Grove, Oklahoma. Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, dancing and playing pool. His other hobby or job depending on how you looked at it was trying to keep his kids in line.
He married Charlotte Kingsford on January 15, 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on August 25, 2016. Ronald was also preceded in death by one son, Stacy Parker and one sister, Lynn Thornbrugh.
Ronald is survived by four sons, Terry Blackburn (Sherry), Enid, Oklahoma, Ray Parker Jr. (Jennifer), Carl Junction, Missouri, Ronald Eveland Jr., Webb City, Missouri, Walter Eveland (Jeni), Waco, Missouri; two daughters, Rayleen Smart (Roy), Gainesville, Missouri, Shannon Coulson, Joplin, Missouri; two brothers, Richard Eveland, Oelwein, Iowa, Dennis Eveland, Webb City, Missouri; one sister, Carla Eveland, Webb City, Missouri; 24 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Janet Cusick and Hospice Compassus.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Thursday December 22, 2016 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Danny Mullins officiating.
