Emmett William Lovell, age 53, Carl Junction, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home after a sudden illness.
Emmett was born October 4, 1963 in Joplin, and his family moved to Carl Junction in 1972. He was a standout baseball player in the Carl Junction Little League, Babe Ruth, and High School. He graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1983. He worked for the Labor Union #319 for his entire career.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Burton Leroy Lovell and Mary Louise O'Connell Lovell.
He is survived by his sister, Michele Lovell of Carl Junction; brother, Rick Lovell of Carthage, Missouri; nieces, Amanda Lovell of Joplin, Rebecca Lovell of Carthage; nephew, Joshua Lovell of Carthage; great-niece, Madilynn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
