Lowell Gum

Lowell (Tony) Gum passed from this life at 8:40 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 after a short illness. 

Lowell was born August 4, 1918 to Jasper and Cora (Lawson) Gum. It was the Century Farm that his Grandfather Elijah Gum had homesteaded. This is where he lived until the time of his death. Lowell made a profession of faith in his younger years. 

Lowell married Ileana Link on May 11, 1942. To this union, four children were born: Larry, Linda, Re-Va and Jan. In December, 1985, Ileana preceded him in death. He then married Maxine Kimbrough in June, 1987 and she preceded him in death in January, 2015. Also preceding him in death are his parents, one brother, Noel Gum; 3 sisters, Ivetta Henry, Margaret Price and Lena Gum; a son, Larry Gum; and a daughter, Linda (Gum) Greene. Lowell is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Re-Va and Craig Jackson and daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Ray Little; grandchildren, Allen Gum, Tammy (Gum) Talbot, Lowell Thomas Gum, April (Brashear) Wright, Dustin Brashear, Hayley (Brashear) Spencer, and Nathan Jackson; great grandchildren, Tyler Gum, Calloway Gum, DJ Talbot, and Ripley Lucas. Also surviving is Lowell’s youngest sister, Pauline Parker, Ozark, MO along with many nieces and nephews.
