Franklin D. Rossman, age 75, Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his home.
Franklin was born January 9, 1941 in Baxter Springs, Kansas, son of the late Leonard Rossman and Veva Vail Potter Rossman. He went to school in Riverton, and worked for Empire District as a Fireman at the Riverton Power Plant. He also spent years at several locations in this area as a Pastor. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time with his dogs, and playing golf.
In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Rossman, a son, Don Eric Rossman; a granddaughter, Tiffany Dawn Rossman; nine brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his children, John Rossman and wife Cathe of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Robin Zentner and husband Keith of Joplin, and Sheri Rossman of Park Hill, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Janessa Bennett and husband David of Joplin, Scott Farmer and wife Misty of Casper, Wyoming; great-grandchildren, Sommer Bennett of Joplin, Elliott Farmer and Isaiah Farmer both of Casper; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. at The Sanctuary of Joplin, (13th and Rex Ave.) with Rev. Rex Robertson officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
