A child of the Living God. Husband to one, father to three, grandfather and friend to many. Suffering a long battle with cancer, Grady G. Beckham went to his Victory in Jesus on December 25th at 7:05 pm. at the age of 80.
Together again on Christmas, he was with his parents Grady and Amba, sisters Joyce and Carol, brother Terry, and son David.
Grady was born December 4, 1936 in Joplin, Missouri to the union of Grady F. Beckham and Amba M. Gilbert.
Grady is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris; siblings Duane Beckham (wife Sue), sister Sondra Bottorff, son Michael Beckham (wife Lisa); son Tom Beckham (wife Michele); granddaughters Heather Jackson; Tiffany Harrelson; and grandsons serving as pallbearers, and 12 great grandchildren. Grady will be remembered for his deep faith in Jesus Christ, a loving father and grandfather.
Grady owned and operated Beckham Marine and Beckham Machine the last 34 years. He loved spending time with his family and teaching others about the love of Christ. He leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness to the Lord and great love for others.
"He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18 –
It was Grady's hope that each and every person he came across knew the Lord and accepted this message.
While we grieve the physical loss of his earthly presence, we "sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." 1 Thess. 4:13 Our hope lies in Christ Jesus. Well done good and faithful servant.
We miss you, we love you, we will see you again.
Visitation for Grady will be Wednesday, December 28th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home 400 West Daugherty St., Webb City MO 64870. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10am Thursday, December 29th at First Baptist Church, 102 N Roane St, Webb City, MO 64870.
Pallbearers will be Ben Beckham, Jon Beckham, Jack Beckham, Alan Jackson, David Beckham, and Seth Denison. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Arnall and Paul Harrelson.
Arrangements are under the care of Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City, MO.
