M.C. Throop, Neosho, died December 24, 2016 at Freeman Neosho ER at the age of 75, following a sudden illness.
M. C. was born September 27, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma and moved to the Neosho area in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy, 1960-1964 and served in the Cuban Blockade. He worked at Sunbeam and also at Tamko as a machine operator and retired from Tamko in 1990. He was a member of the LDS Neosho ward.
M.C. married Linda Moran Throop on Nov. 5, 1962 in Raleigh, NC and she survives. Additional survivors include three children, Dixie Hames and husband, Clint of Neosho; Brigit McDonald of Neosho and Mitchell Throop of Eaton Rapids, MI; one sister, Cornelia Campbell of Commerce, OK; five grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsay, Heritage, Hunter and Michael and three great grandchildren, Deylan, Delaysia and Delilah. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 2 pm to 4 pm.
