Upon returning home, he came back to the farm but moved to Kansas City, KS and was employed by Armour Meat Company for 17 years till its closing. After his beloved wife, Lola, passed away, Ed stayed of the home, and then spent part of his time in Florida with his son, Mike and family. He enjoyed his many adventures of Florida and his time sitting on the porch watching the water, and the wildlife. He enjoyed the warmth most of all. Ed loved his home place in Fairview, where he was entertained by watching his garden, the birds and visiting with Friends and Family. He could spend hours telling all about the road trips, countless stories, gambling adventures or just sitting outside, these were some of the treasured moments of his life.
