Dexter Lee Boles, age 77 of Webb City, Missouri passed away Friday December 30, 2016 following a decline in health.
He was born May 19, 1939 in Webb City, Missouri to Dexter C. and Libbie (Armstrong) Boles.
Dexter was a machinist for King Press in Joplin, Missouri and retired in 2002 after 30 years. He was a graduate of the Webb City High School Class of 1957, and was a longtime Christian and a member of Webb City Church of the Nazarene for 21 years. After retirement he enjoyed traveling until his health did not allow him to. He was a great husband, dad and grandpa (papa) who was devoted to his family and church.
He married Elaine Harris on November 20, 1971 in Webb City, Missouri.
Dexter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine; three sons, Jeff Boles and wife Joyce, Baxter Springs, Kansas, Ray Boles and wife Tracy, Webb City, Missouri, Jason Lee Boles and wife Heather, Springfield, Virginia; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12:00 (noon) Tuesday January 3, 2017 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral with Pastor Nathan Haeck officiating. Burial will follow at the Webb City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am Tuesday prior to the service.
