(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Anita Nell Martin, age 84, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Cox Hospital in Monett, Missouri. She was born March 15, 1938, in Ritchey, Missouri, the daughter of Lloyd and Juanita (McKinney) English.
Anita was a 1956 graduate of Midway High School. She worked for the garment factory in Mt. Vernon and retired from Positronic Manufacturing Company in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mt. Vernon and enjoyed being a homemaker and her pets.
On June 19, 1982, she married Gary Martin, in Mt. Vernon.
Anita is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary; one sister, Janie George and her husband, Darrell, of Neosho, Missouri; sister-in-law, Norma English of Granby, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Juanita and her brother, James English.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
