Terry Gouge

Terry Dale Gouge, passed away amidst a room full of family and love on Tuesday February 21, 2023, at the age of 70. Terry was born October 15, 1952, at McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage, MO, to parents Guy Gouge and Mildred Martin-Gouge. 

Terry was a lifetime Carthage resident. He worked at Buttterball for over 20 years before retiring in 1993. Terry was very passionate “Lifetime” movie watcher who loved his home cooked meals. Terry was a lovingly known grandfather to his grandchildren and loved being surrounded by his family.

Terry was united in marriage to Melody Peiken in 1974. She preceded him in death December 29, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his parents Guy Gouge and Mildred Martin-Gouge: and brothers Lynn and Larry "Dino" Gouge.

Terry is survived by one son, James Gouge of Carthage, MO: one daughter Theresa Caddick of Monett, Mo: one sister Linda Talamantez and husband Gilbert of Carthage, MO. Seven grandchildren Madison Gouge, Colby Gouge, Caleb Gouge, Jaelyn Gouge, Austin McMain, Kylee Caddick, Elizabeth Caddick; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

While his family grieves his loss, he has been reunited with previously lost family members. As he would say, "Hot diggity dog!"

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday February 24, 2023, at the Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
