Paul O'Dell

Paul Raymond O’Dell, age 78, of Neosho, Missouri, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at 7:42 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023, at home. He was born July 19, 1944, in Richmond, Missouri, to Robert Aaron and Elizabeth (Garner) O’Dell. 

On June 2, 1966, he married Jeannie Figg in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and she survives him.

Paul served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in History and an associate degree in Fire Technology. He worked for the Albuquerque Fire Department from 1968-1990. He then went to Barber college in 1992 and worked as a barber until retirement in 1998. Paul and Jeannie moved to Neosho to be near family in 2019.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Jeannie, he is survived by three daughters; Jean Bussell, Jenny Manning and her husband, Rick, and Judy Millet and her husband, Dennis; one brother, Mike O’Dell and his wife, Bonnie; and five grandchildren.

His parents and one sister Roberta Arthur preceded him in death.

Inurnment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at a later date.
