(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Cathy Susan Williams, age 72, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 12:29 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Autumn Place in Joplin. She was born July 25, 1950, in Miller, Missouri, the daughter of Lynville and Dorothy (Friar) Holmes.
Cathy was a 1968 graduate of Miller High School in Miller, Missouri and received her bachelor's degree from Southwest Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri in 1973. She was a Medical Technologist and enjoyed crocheting.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Amy White and her husband, Jacob, of Webb City, Missouri; one son, Allan Williams of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Peggy Jones and her husband, Steve, of South Greenfield, Missouri and five grandchildren, Audrey Williams, Baylie Williams, Jackson White, Brady Williams, and Matthew White.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Lynville and Dorothy and three brothers, Bobbie, Ronnie and Timmie Holmes.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, February, 26, 2023, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. A private family burial will held at Shiloh Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Shiloh Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
