(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Patricia “Patty” Ann Adams, 81, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri. Patty was born September 8, 1941, to Alfred “Al” and Edna (Baker) York in Lamar, Missouri.
Over the years, Patty worked at various businesses in the Carthage area. During that time, she was primarily with the Carthage Press. Patty was also a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, caring for her family and was an avid Precious Moments collector. She was a member of First Christian Church of Carthage, and attended Center Point Christian Church in Carthage, but currently attended Countryside Church in Jasper, Missouri.
Patty was united in marriage to Elvin “Corky” Adams on April 29, 1961, in Carthage, Missouri; he survives.
Patty is survived by her husband, Corky Adams; two sons, Mark Adams (Bobbie) and Rick Adams (Karla), both of Carthage, Missouri; one daughter, Kelly Holliday (Bruce) of Jasper, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Katie Bronson (Jason), Ben Holliday (Kristin), Kristy Holliday (Will Smith ), Nathan Adams (Cheyenne), Joe Adams (Kendra), Seth Adams, Kaleb Adams (Tiffani), and Breanna Knoeber; eleven great grandchildren, Austin (Hannah), Levi (Mylee), Wyatt, Macy, Kaylin, Joshua, Beau, Zane, Remy, Khloe, and Kaiden; and a special fur-friend, Cricket.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, Al and Edna York; one grandson, Jacob Holliday; and two great grandchildren, Glory and Blue Rose.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
