Joe Anderson

Joe Anderson passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 78.

Joe was born in Anthony, KS to Mary and George Anderson and was the youngest of three boys. Ada, his stepmother, was also big part of Joe's life, and he had very fond memories of her.

Joe's family moved to Venice, CA when he was young and moved to Oakdale, CA after his time in the military. He lived in Shady Cove, OR, where he met the love of his life, Chrissy Hutton. They were married at Trail Christian Fellowship. Joe and Chrissy moved to Grant's Pass, OR and most recently Springfield, MO, where they've been for the last three years. They have been married 28 years.

Joe is a retired builder. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He loved riding dirt bikes and belonged to the Sierra Old Timers Motocross Club. He raced dirt bikes well into his 70s. He loved the camaraderie as much as the racing.

Joe is survived by his wife Chrissy, son Christopher Anderson and daughter Kimberly Garza both of Oakdale, CA, and Deborah Pratt and Jamie Adams both of Grants Pass, OR. His life was also blessed with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jack Anderson, Escalon, CA.

Joe loved the Lord, his family and his friends. When people remember Joe, they remember that he was selfless and willing to help anyone.
