(From Parker Mortuary)Terry Lea Oxford, age 66, Joplin, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2023 at Mercy of Springfield, Missouri after a sudden illness.
Terry was born March 9, 1956 in Webb City, Missouri, one of eleven children born to the late Albert Lanta Oxford and Edith Marcella (Long) Oxford.
She grew up in Joplin where she graduated from Parkwood High School. She became a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and worked at several local nursing homes in the area including Greenbriar, Joplin Health Care, and the Meadowview Nursing Center. She loved taking care of her patients, and had a very patient and loving attitude while helping those she cared for during her career. She was an avid bowler which she enjoyed for years, and was known to be a big collector of certain items, purses for sure. She was a loving soul who loved being with family and having fun.
In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy A. Oxford and Mark A. Oxford.

Survivors include her son, Austin Oxford of Joplin; six sisters, Beverly Sadler, Pam McReynolds, Paula Kay Esterline, Kathy Esterline, Marcia Stephens, and Tracy Foster; two brothers, Brian Oxford and Michael Shane Oxford all of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with a private family graveside service at a later date in Osborne Memorial Cemetery next to his parents.
