Bonnie Pirtle

(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)

Bonnie Louise Pirtle, 89, was escorted to her Heavenly Home by her Friend and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Stockton, Missouri. She was born March 24, 1933 in Dade County Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Gertrude Wilson.

Bonnie was saved and baptized at Mount Nebo as a teenager.

She was united in marriage to Carl Pirtle on July 30, 1954, and to this union were born two children.

Bonnie and Carl lived in Kansas City, Missouri for 3 years, working at Westinghouse before moving back to Dade County where they laid roots to raise their family. Bonnie worked as the Deputy County Clerk for County Clerks Lee Stivers and Larry McGuire for 25 years before retiring. She was an active member of Arcola Christian Church. She loved painting, quilting, and visiting friends as often as possible in Carthage for lunch or dinner. She was an accomplished seamstress, often making clothing for family and friends. Carl remembers fondly of a time she sat in church and counted 12 dresses she had made being worn by members.

She loved her family to no end. She was very passionate about her grandchildren, even keeping a calendar of when each one was to spend the night. She spent many evenings in the stands at baseball games, and activities her grand and great-grandchildren were participating in.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Charlene York of Kansas City.
