Shirley was born September 8, 1950 in Joplin, Missouri, one of two children to William Adley and Dorothy Isabel Wright Eytcheson. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked at Buddy-L, Sunbeam and Jarden for a total of thirty three years, retiring in 2003. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Shirley took great pride in taking care of her home and her husband, John. She was a kind and gentle soul. On May 16, 1970 in Diamond, Missouri, Shirley married John Vernon Reynolds and he survives of the home. John and Shirley were blessed with one son, John Adley Reynolds, who preceded her in death on March 13, 1993.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, Shirley is survived by her nephews, William (Jennifer) Eytcheson of Neosho, Jason (Lisa) Reynolds of Coppell, Texas; her nieces, Mica Willis of Seneca, Shelly (Doug) Gilmore of Waco, Texas and Kelli Lazure of Seneca; brother in law, Larry (Debra) Reynolds of Neosho and numerous other family and friends.
In addition to her son, John, she is preceded in death by a brother William (Bill) Eytcheson, January 3, 2009 and her parents.
