Vivian Reese

Vivian Reese (Anderson) of Seneca passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital on February 4th, 2023 at the age of 98. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Vivian was born on December 4th, 1924, in Newman Grove, Nebraska to John Anderson and Jessie Anderson (Jenks.) She graduated from Newman Grove High School and later moved to Carthage, MO.

While in Carthage, Missouri Vivian married Maurice Reese where she had two children. Her faith and family were the focus of her life. Throughout her life she did many things to share her love. While living in Carthage she was a member of the Jolly Neighbors Extension Club and an active member of the Church of the Nazarene. Upon moving to California she served as an area representative for the Christian Women’s Club and continued being active in her church.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, John Anderson, and Jessie Anderson (Jenks.) Vivian is also preceded in death by her husband Maurice Reese, and sister, Myrtle Overby of Carthage, Missouri.

Vivian is survived by one son, Jerry Reese of Seneca, MO, one daughter, Sandra Garrick (Resse) of Victorville, CA. and six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date by the family. Vivian will be interred at Park Cemetery in Carthage.
