Lea Paul

Naomi Lea (Robinson) Moody Paul, age 87, of Neosho, MO, formerly of Monett, MO, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday evening, February 8, 2023 while at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO.

Lea, as she was known by most, was born on June 17, 1935, daughter of the late Everett Efton Robinson and Gladys Irene (Cox) Robinson. She grew up south of Seneca, MO and at the age of 9, she asked her Lord and Savior to come into her heart. She has tried to live her life for Him ever since. Lea graduated from Seneca High School with the Class of 1953.








On July 21, 1954, Lea was united in marriage to Noel Moody. They were blessed with over forty-seven years and two children before his passing in 2002. Noel worked as an Announcer for KRMO radio station. During Lea’s working years, she worked at Jumping Jack Shoe Company in Monett. On May 16, 2003, Lea married George Paul. They made their home in Neosho, MO, where she and George were members of the Northside Baptist Church. George passed away on November 3, 2021.

Lea is survived by her children, Bob Moody and Marti Payne, both of Purdy, MO; four grandchildren, Amy Burton, Becky Grant (Adam), Crystle White (Michael) and Robby Moody; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margie Wiegand, Dottie Hartman and Leila Moore; one brother, Gene Robinson; as well as a host of extended family and friends.








Lea was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and one daughter-in-law, Julie Moody.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Reverend Russ Neill officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
