James Wilford “Chance” Jewell, 17, of LaRusell, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home.
Chance was born on September 25, 2000 in Springfield, Missouri to Donald Lee and Sunnie Jo (Denton) Jewell. He attended Crane and Sarcoxie Schools. Chance was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He enjoyed football, singing, playing the guitar, horseback riding and being outdoors, as well as spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kellie Wooldridge; and great grandfather, James Wilford Cypret.
Chance is survived by his parents, Donald and Sunnie Jewell, of the home; his siblings, David Denton and wife, Tiffany, of Springfield, Missouri, Corey Jewell of Kennett, Missouri, Kyah Boothe and husband, Blake, of LaRussell, Missouri and Ashley Jewell of Kennett, Missouri; grandparents, Sam Endicott, of Wentworth Missouri and Don and Renee Jewell, of Crane, Missouri; great grandparents, Lahonia Looney, of Oronogo, Missouri and Carole Cypret of Crane, Missouri; several aunts and uncles; his nephew, Aiden Denton, nieces, Bailey Denton, Carsynn Denton, Austyn Boothe, Kaydince Boothe, Jayden Jewell and Zoey Jewell; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastors Scott Pogue and Creighton Tamerius officiating.
