Mary Elizabeth Herron, age 91, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Spring River Christian Village.
Mary was born May 27, 1926 in Joplin, daughter of the late Frank Menapace and Hester Ann Arnold Menapace. She graduated from Joplin High School, and was a stay at home mom taking care of her husband, and children. She was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Everett William Herron, who passed away on February 3, 2004. She was also preceded by a daughter, Sharron Herron Dunn Garrett who passed away on March 2, 2015, and five brothers and sisters, and a son-in-law, Mike Qualls.
Survivors include her son, Everett Herron and wife Teresa of Saginaw, Missouri; daughter, Fran Qualls of Joplin; seven grandchildren, Michele Jones and husband Silver, Stacey Woolever and husband Jack, Tracey Hickman and husband Jeff, Brent Purscelley and wife Angelina, Emily Herron Torres and husband Eric, Amy Marpu and husband Aditya, and Veronica "Ronnie" Herron; 11 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Stone Cemetery, Diamond Grove, Missouri with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
