Dorothy Ann Dickey, age 75, passed away Wednesday April 11, at her home in Liberal, MO.
Dorothy was born August 21st, 1942 in Mulberry, KS to Joe and Viola Morgan Bussone. She attended High school in Pittsburg KS. She married Bob Dickey February 14, 1960. Together they made their home in the Liberal area where they raised their 2 children. As the wife of a bi-vocational minister she worked along side of Bob in ministry but also found herself picking up a paintbrush to help paint a house and occasionally helped him cut wood. For the last 41 years they have lived in Liberal. Dorothy loved Chinese cuisine almost as much as working and making things grow in her garden. Her parents preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Bob of the home, a son David Ray Dickey of Liberal, a daughter Tresa Morgan and husband B.J. of Liberal, 3 grand children Gwynne Findley, Chance Dickey and Kerrie Bollinger, 4 great grand children, Sam Findley, Kylee Findley, Easton Dickey and Israel Bollinger and 2 brothers Joey Bussone of Arma, KS and Jimmy Bussone of Girard KS.
There will be a funeral service Saturday at the Hannon Freewill Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with a time of visitation from 1 to 2 P.M. at the church. Burial will be at the Shiloh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that memorial gifts be sent to The Gideons International, a Bible translation and distribution ministry, at PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800;
